The Canada’s Caregiver Program is a vital pathway for the foreign caregivers to search work and eventually settle in Canada as caregivers play a crucial role in Canada’s health care and family support system. To qualify, (IRCC) Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada has outlined some essential documents and steps the caregivers must take to prove their employment for the application.

1.     Employment Offer Letter

A valid job offer from a Canadian employer is a key requirement. This letter should include:

·        Job title and description

·        Work hours and salary

·        Employer’s name and contact details

·        Employment duration and conditions

·        Confirmation that the job is full-time

2.     Pay Stubs and Bank Statements

To demonstrate actual employment, caregivers should collect pay stubs from their employer. Supporting documents such as bank statements showing salary deposits can further strengthen the proof.

3.     Tax Documents (T4 and NOA)

Caregivers should request their T4 tax slips from their employer and keep a copy of their Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to confirm employment earnings.

 4.     Reference letter from Employer

A reference letter should contain details like:

·       Job duties

·       Confirmation of employment duration

·       Employer’s Signature and contact information

Providing thorough and well-organized employment proof is crucial for meeting the requirements of the Canada Caregiver Program 2025. Caregivers should maintain accurate records and seek legal or immigration advice when necessary to ensure a smooth application process.
